There is a racial component to every issue facing the American Majority.
African American people have been struggling with this injustice since before the civil war. Some who lived and worked through the civil rights movement thought that progress was being made. Then it seemed powerful forces were arrayed against the progress of the sixties.
Now in response to the deaths of black people at the hands of police, people have taken to the streets to demand changes in policy and funding that will dismantle the racism crippling every area of American life. We have hope and we all have so much to learn.
